Shift

Tap into the diversity and experience of the 2018 SHIFT cohort by submitting a studio project - and enjoy the results!

Thursday April 5, 2018

The 2018 group has started their SHIFT into tech, and has included sessions with many tech industry people.

Special thanks to Steve Miller from CCL Ltd, Chanel O'Brien from Enterprise Dunedin, Simon Hopkins from MTF,  Kylie Robinson from Igtimi, Leigh Anderson from Dimension Data, and Tim Neumegen recently of AD Instruments who have all willingly shared their experiences and knowledge, and described where their organisations sit within the tech ecosystem.

This month we look forward to welcoming Ian Taylor from Animation Research Ltd,  Jesse Teat from Tussock Innovation, and James Nation from The Tarn Group.  The SHIFT cohort  will also complete robotics, agile and design thinking workshop sessions, and will start on the first of three studio projects in May.

If you are an organisation in Dunedin or Christchurch, and have an idea, project or piece of work that your organisation has parked due to lack of time or resource, talk to us about submitting it to the SHIFT studio . These studio projects each run for five weeks, and will have a small group(3-5) of the SHIFT learners working on it, to increase their skills and abilities, and to also give something back to the organisation that has submitted the project.

The studio projects from last year have been further utilised by the clients, so see if SHIFT can help your organisation in 2018. To find out more about how to submit a project into the SHIFT studio, please contact info@signal.ac.nz.
