Get involved in Techweek'19 running May 20 - 26

From the NZ Techweek website:

"The 2018 Techweek NZ festival included over 540 events running across the country. 2019 will be the third iteration of the nationwide festival.

The intention behind Techweek is simple. New Zealand’s technology and innovation sectors are growing rapidly, and Techweek fosters that growth by providing the national ecosystem with a week-long opportunity for connection and cross-pollination, using an independent platform to amplify New Zealand’s unique and inspiring innovation stories to the world.

In the years to come, Techweek’s vision is for New Zealand to be globally recognised as a beautiful country where world-leading solutions are born. It’s not just about showcasing leading edge technology, but amplifying brilliant ideas that are solving the biggest global challenges – innovation that’s good for the world.

The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) is back this year as our principal partner. MBIE’s goal is to grow New Zealand for all – a great fit with Techweek’s ‘innovation that's good for the world’ theme.

SIGNAL is sponsoring several events for Dunedin Techweek 2019. On Wednesday, May 22, we are hosting two sessions with Tim Packer, Smart City Practitioner and former team lead for the NEC NZ's Smart Cities Solutions business unit. One of these will include an evening discussion with Tim Packer, the Honourable Pete Hodgson, and NZ Innovator of the Year Ian Taylor CNZM, on how smart city technologies could be utilised in the Dunedin Hospital rebuild, and the proposed Dunedin Harbourside Vision.
