It's never too late to consider a change in career, or to add tech to your existing skill set or qualifications. For some, taking a year off work to SHIFT career can be very difficult or even impossible. For others it's an easier decision. SIGNAL now offers a part-time programme in Dunedin starting in July, and offers a second yearly intake in Christchurch for those wishing to complete the full-time course, but perhaps missed our February intake.
SHIFT is designed to be flexible in terms of what pathway each student follows, and we can now offer flexibility regarding timing and starting date.
Dunedin Part-Time
The part-time SHIFT option will cover the same content as the full-time option, requiring 10 - 15 hours per week, and a mix of scheduled classes during the day, plus self-directed study and project work. Instead of completing SHIFT in 12 months, you might complete it in 18 months, or over a longer period such as 30 months. Your study programme can be customised to your area of interest, and in the speed you wish to complete SHIFT.

Christchurch Full-Time July
Currently, SHIFT is only available in Christchurch as a full-time option, but it can be started in either late February or in our upcoming July (second semester) intake.
Enrolments Are Open
Enrolments are open for our July intakes in both locations. If you're not quite ready for a July start then talk to us about the full-time option in Christchurch, or the full or part-time options in Dunedin starting in late February 2020.
