SIGNAL celebrates another XTEND success story

Saturday November 2, 2019

A big congratulations to Gavin Dilworth (2nd from right) on recently completing SIGNAL's XTEND Industry Programme - a Master of Professional Practice at Otago Polytechnic, while living and working in Taranaki.

Gavin chose XTEND because he wanted to complete a Masters qualification and work on something valuable to him and his work in the Cybersecurity arena. Focusing on Industrial Control Systems, his project looked at the Practical Implementation of Industrial Control System Cyber Security theories.

Gavin completed his Masters while still working full time and also becoming a first-time Dad. He expressed his gratitude to his facilitators Prof Samuel Mann and Trish Franklin, for the high level of academic and professional support he received during his XTEND journey.

XTEND's "in work, at work, for work" leadership programme can be completed from anywhere in New Zealand through the innovative Capable NZ work-based learning model. Built around your everyday work, XTEND is customised learning relevant to both the individual and business. It will develop your professional skills and take you to the next level as a technical, peer, thought or people leader.

XTEND graduates have described the programme as "..undoubtedly the best thing I have done for my career"; "It has given me the tools I needed to take the next step in my career. It's had a hugely positive effect on our organisation."

XTEND results in a Master of Professional Practice (MProfPrac) from Otago Polytechnic.

If you, or some of your team would like to discuss what the XTEND programme could offer, please do get in touch with us today to start your leadership journey, or to discuss how XTEND may benefit some of your team, and keep them engaged in your organisation.  https://signal.ac.nz/xtend/
