New SHIFT students @ SIGNAL

Wednesday July 31, 2019

As with previous intakes, our students are diverse in many aspects of life and goals, with an incredible range of work backgrounds and educations.

The full-time Christchurch bunch have settled into our new site at the EPIC Centre right in the hub of the Christchurch Innovation Precinct, with backgrounds ranging from banking and tourism, to agriculture, medicine and dairy.  Previous qualifications include zoology, midwifery, engineering and environmental science, just to name a few!

Our part-time Dunedin cohort are just as star-studded.  Backgrounds include entrepreneurship, philosophy, accountancy, sociology, bio-chemistry, commerce, international business and english literature.  So with all that experience behind them and the potential ahead, it is a brave and exciting step ahead for a big future reward.

Our SHIFT students decide to career-change or upskill for a myriad of reasons, such as boosting employability, future-proofing, redundancy, for the challenge of learning, personal growth and to progress in their career.

If you or someone you know is considering a career change, or wondering what opportunities the world of tech offers, you're invited to join us for our upcoming Tech Careers & Pizza Nights on August 15, just reserve your seats HERE, or phone 0800 99 00 24 for more info.
