Interactive video game development is New Zealand’s fastest growing creative industry and tech export sector. New Zealand audiences of all ages and genders are also avid game players.
This meet up aims to create an event to share knowledge, provide recruitment opportunities and joyfully and inclusively boost the profile of game development in Dunedin!
This coming Meetup’s presentations will be by Jeff Laird and Sam Fleury from Dunedin game studio Runaway Play.
Jeff will be speaking about Runaway's award-winning Furistas Cat Cafe post-mortem style and Sam will be speaking about self-care as a programmer and his journey from student to industry.
Bring your own laptop/desktop/mobile device for the show and tell. Advice on artist’s portfolios is also offered, please let us know in advance.
This event is all ages and will be relevant to developers in the industry, indie developers, hobbyists, students and parents or caregivers who are curious about the size and opportunities within NZ's booming game development industry.
