In uncertain and unprecedented times, there is always a silver lining for certain industries and tech is one of them. During the Level-4 lockdown period, the team at Christchurch-based tech company Lentune Software Solutions, have been busy supporting customers to enable them to work from home. Not surprising, their business has increased over the last few weeks.
"Businesses are moving fast to optimise cloud-based technology to automate the accounts payable processes, and Lentune's technology eliminates the need to send physical paper invoices." says Di Wang, Senior Developer at Lentune.
SIGNAL student Manpreet is currently on-site creating a ‘Responsive Web App’ prototype as part of her 200-hour SHIFT Industry Project.
"Manpreet is working with us to complete a proof of concept project by building a web app to replace our current Lentune Mobile app. This will allow us to maintain the product more easily in the future. By the end of her project, she will demonstrate a prototype to the Lentune team. Manpreet's prototype will also make it easier for users to access the software on any of their devices. We look forward to seeing her proof of concept come to life in the coming weeks. "
Industry Projects are an integral component of the SHIFT programme and give students the opportunity to gain valuable connections and world-class work experience.
