SHIFT driving internal innovation at MTF

An organisation works best when it has the best tools at its disposal, sometimes they need a bit of a tune-up ........ 

As a future-focused company, Motor Trade Finance invests heavily in delivering fantastic customer experience. But with a slightly dated and clunky internal staff website, the leadership team at the Dunedin Head Office decided it was time to for a revamp. 

Enter Aman Jamwal from the February SHIFT cohort. With a Bachelor of Design (Communication), Aman was familiar with the visual side of web development and is completing SHIFT to expand his back-end web knowledge, and work towards becoming a full-stack developer.  

Aman is doing surveys of MTF staff to research the best ways to present data visually, focusing on user-driven not technology-driven development. He is also working on some previous internal research around the structure of the site to further increase its user friendliness. 

Mark Oliver says "this is a project we had wanted to complete but, as is often the case, other more pressing things arose.  It is great to have Aman's help to bring it to fruition, and his research is definitely going to inform the way the final site looks and feels.  The new site will be a vast improvement and will definitely add value for our staff. "
