Shift Dunedin ready for Industry placements!

Sunday September 9, 2018

This talented group has experience across a wide range of sectors, including health, business, sciences, arts, marketing, project management and logistics.  They have already completed three studio projects this year for clients such as Iris Data Science,  Otago Museum,  Rotary, Aurora Energy,  Abacus Bio and others.

Applications are now open for Industry Projects, where a student could be working with your team for 200 hours, on a real-life project, as part of the strong industry focus of SHIFT.   The project experience  is designed to further develop their tech skills and deliver valuable industry experience, whilst assisting you and your team to add value to a new or existing product.

Imagine what you could achieve together, with 200 hours of input from a talented SHIFT student? Projects, students and workplaces are carefully matched to ensure the best possible fit, and outcome, for all involved. The cohort has a varied pool of experience, from a variety of disciplines, and we may well have someone that could be a perfect fit for you, your team and your industry.  The work hours and duration are flexible, but the students will be available from the first week in October.  Your organisation may also be  eligible for a Callaghan Innovation grant, to fund additional Research and development.

To discuss your project idea, please contact Kylie in Dunedin asap, we would love to hear your ideas and see how we can team you up with a SIGNAL star!
