Educate Scholarships Announced

Monday September 25, 2017

SIGNAL is offering up to 30 scholarships for 2018 study in EDEM665 Teaching Computer Programming at the University of Canterbury as part of the Educate programme.

The scholarships are each worth $1000 and will be paid directly to successful applicants.

Applications will be assessed by the Educate team in conjunction with the SIGNAL Director.  Successful applicants will be notified before the commencement of the programme and scholarships will be paid after the withdrawal date for the course (2 March).

The scholarships are focused on building capability and diversity and so applicants are asked how the scholarship will help reach Māori, Pasifika and female students. The application also asks how this scholarship will help build leadership capability in Digital Technologies for your school/community.

The scholarships are open to all those enrolled in EDEM665 Teaching Computer Programming and can be applied for online here: https://signal.ac.nz/educate/educate-scholarship
