Are you an owner or a manager of a tech focused organisation?
Could you provide an industry project and host a talented SHIFT student?
It could it be the start of a productive line of work, perhaps a development, testing, user experience or research project that will potentially add to your bottom line.
Join us for your chance to meet the diverse and talented 2020 Christchurch SHIFT Cohort, Thursday 5 November, 1.30pm-3pm with networking after, and perhaps discover a potential 200-hour industry intern.
SHIFT students can bring fresh ideas and energy to your existing or new business projects. Pairing a SHIFT student with an industry-based project gives the student over 200 hours of real-world tech experience, whilst adding value to your business or organisation.
SHIFT Industry Projects will be completed part-time from February to June in 2021. During Speed Networking, you may meet a student who may fit your goals. As the project host, you provide a work-based project which gives the student real-world tech experience of 200 hours, whilst adding value to your business. Students also need to complete academic requirements of an additional 100 hours, to meet course requirements.
Students might focus upon projects in the fields of business analysis, software and product testing, software development, web development, mobile app development, user experience, technical writing and project management, or their previous skillset might match some other projects you have in mind. The sky is the limit with such a talented bunch of students!
Businesses have always been impressed with the quality and wide-ranging skills our students can bring to the table. They gain value from having prototyping or projects completed, and their whole organisation can benefit from the energy, fresh ideas and excitement these students bring.
Our July SHIFT cohort come from a variety of backgrounds:
